A Summary

God is in the white-hot crucible experiences of our lives.
There are life experiences that can crush our spirits, overwhelm our emotions, cause our minds to spin, leave our bodies weak to point of collapse, and lead us to cry out, “Lord, I don’t know if I can handle this.” Such experiences can be compared to being in a crucible--a vessel that can withstand the high temperatures needed to melt metal without affecting the essence of the metal. The crucible is the image used in Scripture to describe the spiritual formation work God is doing in our lives. We are not alone in the crucible. God is with us in the midst of it, sustaining us! In the Crucible is a journey through such an experience. Walk with the author and see how you too can “see” God in the midst of your hard times and experience the steadfast heart He gives to sustain you.

In the Crucible is “a cane…that will help you keep your balance when you wonder how you can continue” (from the Forward by Haddon Robinson).

  1. Hello Dan,

I was a freelance editor for WP. Then they stopped paying me and didn't tell me why. Then I found out that they went out of business. I did the copyedit on your book. I was wondering if you were able to publish your book before WP closed. I thought you did, but when I clicked on "Order this book" on this page, it didn't show your book. If you weren't able to publish it with WP, I wanted to let you know that I work for a small, up and coming publishing company called, Seaside Creative Services. We are offering former WP authors discounts to help them get their books finished. We can take your book from where it is now to print. If you would like to find out more about us or to contact us, please go to our website: www.seasidecreativeservices.com or email me directly at wendyweisingscs@gmail.com. Thanks.

  2. Wendy,

THANK YOU so much for your editing work. It was greatly appreciated.

No I did not get it published before WP closed, but I did a copy of all of the files and also got a release from them to use the cover design and typeset versions that had been completed. I was about two weeks away from it being sent to the printers. I have since signed an agreement with Advantage Books who are taking all of the files and I should have a book out in about 3-4 weeks.

    Dan
